Money Manager Ex is a personal finance software that helps you to organize your finances and keeps track of where, when and how the money goes. It is also a great tool to get a bird's eye view of your financial worth.

RQ Money helps you to manage credits and debts in the household, providing a quick view of the balance (by time, by category or by person). It allows budget management, multiple currencies, reports, data exporting, searching and graphs. The data (which can be password-protected) is stored into an SQLite database.

Miranda IM is a multi-protocol instant messenger client. By default, it supports AIM, ICQ, IRC, MSN and Jabber. But it has a powerful plugin system where it can be extended to support almost any other protocol you can throw at it, include Yahoo, Gadu-Gadu, Netsend, Skype etc. The plugin system is not limited to protocol support. You can find plugins for almost anything you can think of, including RSS feed reader, weather alert, world clock etc.

XnView is an image viewer and converter that supports more than 400 graphics format. It has tons of options you can tweak. My favorite is to enable caching so that thumbnails are cached in a temp folder of my choice (unlike some image viewers that insist on writing the cache file to every image folder that you access).

In addition, XnView supports batch processing, so you can resize a whole folder of images with a click of the mouse, or apply various other funky filters. This feature is extremely powerful, since you can chain multiple filters in one operation (eg. soften, then resize, then add frame etc.) Oh, and did I mention, XnView is able to use Photoshop's 8bf plugins!

Akelpad is a plain text editor designed to be small and fast. Unicode support, both single-document and tabbed interfaces, unlimited file size and multi-level undo are just a few of the many features this editor offers.

LingoPad is an offline dictionary program. It loads a German-English dictionary by default, but other dictionaries (German-Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese, Turkish, Norwegian) can be downloaded as well.
